(capsule) Berlin

It should come as no secret to anyone reading this site that we are involved with the great people at (capsule) to produce the show in Berlin. As a matter of fact. we’re all scrambling here in our Hamburg HQ to pack up the last bits and pieces to head on over to Berlin on Monday. The show, starts on Thursday and goes on till Friday and we have some excellent brands showing in Berlin. My personal favourites are Eat Dust, Aether, Libertine Libertine, McNasty, Lightning Bolt, Muttonhead, Norse, OnTour, SNS Herning, WoodWood and 2 Thirds. All good people with good brands that I am looking forward catching up with.

Thanks to the more than crazy schedule this season, with Paris kicking off on Saturday following Berlin, (capsule) took the extra way and rented their own damn private plane. You heard right, consider air (capsule) our foray into the Air America business, just without Mel Gibson. As reluctant as I am these days to write about clothing I couldn’t pass this one up. First, it’s on sale which still doesn’t mean it is any more affordable for us normal working people out here, but it’s getting there. Now, those who know would have figured out by now why I am writing about this- and I hope the dudes at Bedwin did this on purpose, but back when Suicidal Tendencies were more than a way for Vans to buy themselves more credibility, Cyco Miko used to wear the 22 jersey. I love flannels, end of fucking story really. When I hit puberty my granddad ran a military surplus store that sold these incredible quilted flannel jackets and luckily for me they were all the rage back in 1990. I never really let go of that appreciation of a good flannel. I am actually wearing one right now, indoors, that’s how rad I am. Gitman- well they make shirts that fit me, so they get the immediate nod from this side of the screen, and this happens to be a great colour combination for a flannel.

Before all you fashion nerds get your little willies in a twist, the official “title” of this product is, of course, a Quilted Military CPO Shirt. I know how you little girls get. I am kind of surprised that the usual sites haven’t picked up on Haven’s 5th anniversary product of late- obviously, not SEO friendly, it’s some of the nicest product out there at the moment. As far as I am concerned, an army olive quilted shirt is about as bad ass as it gets and the typical attention to detail by Japanese brand Bedwin just adds to this.
