This fucking post took me an hour to write only because I kept on listening to this song, and then the album and then I watched the video again and then I made some more coffee, smoked a few cigarettes and listened to it again. Damn you Red Fang for making awesome rock music and having the balls and talent to make even better videos.

Seriously, just fucking watch this, rock out, have fun and say “Fuck It” as often as you can.

The Gypsy Gentleman: Episode 2

Thanks to the Vancouver Chapter for bringing this to my attention- a web based by Marcus Kuhn show about cool shit: tattoos, people living happily outside of the propagated mainstream, good tunes and living a good live. What I initially liked about the most was the relaxed, honest and understandable- without ever dumbing anything down- conversations about tattoos. A major turn off lately has the arrogance of the good tattoo scene and, at least to me this was refreshing. For Episode 2, they head down to Austin, Texas and for this non American, put Austin into a light that at least gives me hope that America hasn’t turned into a Fascist Starbucks Theocracy.

Take 30 minutes to watch it. It is by all means worth it.

Lists Of Note: Things To Worry About

I like lists, I probably make about 2-4 a day, ranging from my daily, shit-to-do list at work, to grocery lists and then at the end of the day, people whose ass needs kicking lists on the next day. Surely, most of you know the site, “Lists Of Note” – and I randomly came across one that put a smile on my face this morning. Rather than indulging in my usual nihilistic / anarchistic attitude in the early mornings, I like how F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote a list of things to worry about for his daughter.

Not only is Tony a friend and a righteous dude, not only does he have a fine taste of music but he also happens to be one bad ass artist. In regards to these realms pop art standards, I would wager that most of you readers know his work from Girl Skateboards. In my humble opinion, it was during his time that they busted out some of the best graphics in skateboarding ever- but there is much more depth to his work.

Mastodon – Dry Valley Bone Video

If you are Mastodon ( ha, right, anyway ) and bring out one of the best metal albums of all times, which they did, how do you top that? Well, you can get Tim Biskup to direct and animate a video for one of your better ( if that is even possible ) songs on said album.

As if they listened to the many voices in my head, they went ahead and did just that.

In case you ever wondered what Freedom sounds like, fret no more. The infamous title of this post actually does come from a doctor, the famous Timothy Leary, and if you look past what the conservative establishment has turned this phrase into, well, you are in for a ride. Back in 1967, recorded an album that, above some serious acid induced jams, narrates a sort of acid meditation. Never forgetting who gave Leary and his commune the acid, mostly, the tax payers.

The Booming Business Of American Slavery

I think anyone with half a brain has always known that the “War on Drugs” was nothing more than a scam to get free, or at least cheap labour into the American Privatized Manufacturing System, aka, prison. Personally, I still can’t get over the fact that prisons can be, and are, private, profit orientated institutions in America, but hey, each to their own, I guess.

Thanks to my buddy Anthony for this nice find, and his patience to go through Flickr, a site that I positively despise. “The Boston Public Library’s Print Department is home to more than 350 vintage travel posters, most dating from the 1920s-1940s, the “Golden Age of Travel.”

Which you can all see and order from their site, which is pretty neat if you need some real artwork for your home.
