12. Taking a look through your own collection: what are your favorite 5 records in terms of music and in terms of artwork/overall product each?
Hunky Dory – David Bowie. One of the best albums ever.

Forever Changes – Love. An album that has had a massive influence of Liverpool bands and still does.

The Velvet Underground and Nico – The Velvet Underground. Warhol artwork proves that the album sleeve is a piece of art that can be hung on the wall.

Never Stop [12" single] – Echo and The Bunnymen. A favourite Liverpool band.

When We Kiss [7" white vinyl] – The Sand Band. For its DIY aesthetic.

Thanks Dave for taking the time to answer our questions.

The Sand Band (on white vinyl) and The Troubadours (on red vinyl) are available to preorder now.

Release dates:
The Sand Band: end of October
The Troubadours: end of November
Sankofa: end of December/early January

  2. Just had a look at the website, and I love what you’re doing. I tried this a few years back and never had the acumen or resources to stick at it. Hope it works for you.

I DJ’d a set purely with 7″ vinyl a few weeks back. It freaked the kids out, but it does sound better. I’ve even taken to adding a recording of a runout groove to my digital mixes.
