Now Streaming: New Baroness
Holy Fucking Mother Of Motherfucking Metal- I don’t know about you, but I am excited as a kitten on crack about the new Baroness album coming out. Obviously, it is debatable how metal Baroness actually is, but I leave that genre nitpicking to the nerds out there to whom that is important. Alongside Mastodon, Baroness are the most important and best band to have graced us in metal for the past twenty years. This new track, “March to the Sea” is fucking mindblowing- essentially, they are achieving what Mastodon did before them, turning their sludge into melody without sacrificing their heaviness. Which, trust me, is incredibly difficult.
