Vans Old Skool

In one of those typical “parent” moments, I dropped into the Vans store in Berlin a few weeks ago to pick up some Era’s for myself, only to walk out with a pair of Old Skool’s for my three year son. As awesome as it is that he now calls them his “cool shoes”, the purchase got me thinking about my 15 year long habit of buying Era’s and Authentics. I mean, why I had I ignored this Vans in the past? The longer I nerd about them and the longer I look at my wingman cruising along the streets of St.Pauli in his, the more I want I pair, and actually, I need this pair right now.

If you know what I am talking about, or if you don’t care, you can see this pair here.
