2005 Château Bastor-Lamontagne

A week after trying the previous Sauternes, I was lucky enough to sample some of this goodness. This wine had more of a honey gold color to it and a nose that was much more stone fruit and mellon. Peach, apricot, honeydew, cantaloupe jumped out to the nose. the palate had some tropical notes of pineapple and banana. The finish was not too long and was a bit underwhelmed after that great nose. Medium acid, medium body. Drink it now for best results. This one may not be able to go ten to twenty years.
