60th Anniversary Fender Limited Telecaster Proto

Fender’s Custom Shop – my dream work place, is releasing a series of new repro models for the 60th anniversary of the Telecaster. The first in the series to be released ( only 60 are made ) is the Telecaster Proto; a reproduction of the prototype guitar that Leo Fender himself took on the road with him from 1949-1950. This guitar was the base for, in my humble opinion, Fender’s best guitar, the Telecaster. This reproduction features a pine body with an aged white nitrocellulose lacquer finish, tree-on-a-side snake head tuners and headstock shape. Each guitar also comes with a Custom Shop ring notebook containing yellow legal pad copies of George Fullerton’s handwritten notes about the history of the Telecaster’s very early days.
