New superstar, really!
Watch out all you plastic ladies (you know who you are) – here’s Janelle Monáe. Critics put her in the Soul and R&B corner but that is far too limiting for this artiste extraordinaire. How to describe Monáes music??? Well, all she doesn’t do is Death Metal and Reggae. You gotta trust me on this one. She will be mainstream soon which won’t make her music any less enjoyable. Monáe is a real pop star – one that can sing, dance and write. Despite the cheesy art work, her album “The ArchAndroid” is a killer. I picked the track “Locked Inside” for this Monday.
