How did you personally become involved and what is your story in this?
I became involved as a fan at first at the end of the 80s, then started working on the fanzine and then moved on to be officially responsible for the social work for and with the fans. I then became the fan liaison officer and after that I became the merchandiser, which I am still today.
A very typical career so to say that has been closely linked to the club and the scene for nearly 20 years, I ticked off every position! ( laughs ). That has really helped with creating the brand that we have today to be honest, as so much of what we do today directly stems out of the scene. So being a part of that world has helped me do the job that I do today.
I was lucky and happy that I could translate and incorporate a lot of what made the scene tick into the merchandise today, everything from the references out of the punk scene, the left wing, anti-nationalistic scene and so forth. Sure, that did not happen over night and it did take a better part of three years to get done, but I am happy with where we are today.
Thank you for your time Hendrick
