FC St. Pauli

Surely, the club must have had a few problems accepting such a powerful anti-authoritarian logo?

Sure, but it is getting better. The biggest issue is not the by now mellowed conservatism but the fact that they are not progressive enough when it comes to marketing such a powerful logo. So, it is still not the official logo even though the club, through our merchandise survives because of the skull & cross bone. It has gotten a lot better over the years though.

As a matter of fact I don’t think it is ever going to be the official logo of the club even though really, that’s how everyone, worldwide, sees the club. Maybe you could say, it is our marketing logo and not the official club logo.
