The Neil Young Trunk Show

neil-young-by-Adrian-M-BussNews of this potential release, a live cut DVD, have been floating around the internet for a while now, but by the looks of it a solid release date has been set.Shot with hand-held cameras, Neil Young Trunk Show draws from two shows staged by Young in 2007 at the famous Tower Theater just outside Philadelphia. The performances, which were part of Young’s “Chrome Dreams II” theater tour, feature acoustic and electric material that spans the singer-guitarist’s entire career.

Among the tracks are the classics “Cinnamon Girl,” “Cowgirl in the Sand” and “After the Gold Rush,” as well as more recent work such as “The Believer” and “No Hidden Path.” Behind-the-scenes footage is included as well.

Beginning March 19, the film will be screened at select theaters around the U.S. (see listings below). To watch a trailer, click here.
