Delmark – 55 Years of Jazz
Chicago Jazz label Delmark celebrates (a little over) 55 years in the business with the appropriately titled Delmark – 55 Years of Jazz. With music by Coleman Hawkins, Sun Ra, and Curtis Fuller, the disk is a good introduction to the venerable imprint. A companion DVD features Nicole Mitchell and Ari Brown.
While not brand spanking new this week, worth the mention as for its well balanced track listing.
