Welcome to The Reference Council
It would be all to easy to say what we are not about and start a diatribe about how much modern men’s culture has been ruined, exposed and over analyzed by numerous online publications. It’s all the more harder to put into words what The Reference Council is and what the point of all this is.
Essentially, what this online magazine will do is portray our lifestyle. We will write about every aspect of our interests that culminate on what has been termed a lifestyle by others. What will set this magazine apart is everyone’s genuine belief that “we” cannot and are not stylized and/or categorized by the clothes we wear, the music we listen to , the products we buy and or how we live. Rather, it is who we are that determines what we are into and find interest in. Furthermore, we firmly believe in delivering better content rather than more content. This simple statement in fact can summarize our ethos. It is no longer about “more” but about “better”. Being efficient and getting to the point yet remain intriguing, interesting and honest with the idea to support and highlight those efforts that contribute positively to society, in every aspect.
But who are “we”? The editors and team behind The Reference Council is an eclectic mix of individuals from around the world that, even though involved in and interested in various very different endeavors all come together in one aspect: the respect, joy and desire to understand what we are into, in an honest way, without care of hype, trends or whatever it is called these days.
What binds us is the way we see and interact with the world, with respect, joy and genuine interest. Also, and despite of our different fields of work and interests, that bond allows us to sit together in pub and talk happily among ourselves without end. Granted, often we felt ostracized by whatever “scene” we were supposed to be a part of but over the past years we have all realized that we are not alone in the way we see the world.
Born out of total lack of meeting point, this publication was born, to unify all of our interests in an honest and genuine matter that will truly represent what men are all about in the 21st Century. It is not always about the newest item here or jumping on new trends – quite on the contrary, the majority of “us” out there know what we are into and appreciate them for what they are.
In a way you can consider The Reference Council to be your “local” on the internet – a place where likeminded honest people get together and talk about what they are into and why, without bowing down to trends for the sake of bringing about the next new thing. Rather, we will focus on honest reporting, detailed stories and reflecting our community in the best way we can. Everyone is welcome and we are happy for every ounce of feedback we get. This is from us for you.
In detail we will talk and write about fashion, music, art & design, travel and everything else we will find interesting.
The Reference Council is headed up by the following people:

Steven
